What are the best names for a bike? A number, like Trek "800"? An animal, like the Trek "Antelope"? After a member of the "Three's Company" cast, like Raleigh's new "Furley"? Or after a soothing drink, like the bike below? Yes, "Coffee" ain't so bad for a bike name. After all, it might be the reason many of us hop in the saddle to go for a ride.

Three's Company names!!! YEAH! The Jack Tripper is a fixie. Janet - a cruiser with streamers. Krissy is a seriously fast road bike. Etc!
You know, I think every bike should be named BOBBIE (the anti bot doohikie that it wants you to type a word or so, it says "word verification)
At first I thought you were referring to bestowing one's personal bike with a name (i.e. Mrytle), such as what some do with their cars. Given that a bicycle is an inanimate object (though a much loved one) I don't quite understand why people name their bikes....
In any case when a manufacturer names a bike model, I appreciate a name that is descriptive of the type of bike it is or the spirit in which it is designed. The Breezer Uptown 8 is a great example since it is a stylish town bike. Prior to my husband purchasing one for me, I fantasized about pedaling on one to an urban farmers market where I would buy flowers and sip espresso.
